Uploading images (the media manager)

It's easy to insert an image into a content page - just find the right image, use the image upload function then position it wherever you like.

The clever bit is keeping track of everything on what might turn out to be an enormous website, and making sure you're working in the most efficient way possible. This is where the Media Manager comes in - organising a comprehensive library of what you're using.

You can give each image a descriptive name. So rather than searching for 'FDUPBEAT.JPG' you can look for 'Financial Director looking upbeat at annual results presentation'. Your picture can be previewed (in the background if you like) to make doubly sure you aren't confusing it with 'FDDOWNCAST.JPG' or 'FDSUICIDAL.JPG' And you're provided with all the technical specs you need - size, width, height, etc.
